ABS

Acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene copolymer. It is light in weight, has both bremsstrahlung, rigidity and chemical resistance, and has a wide range of uses. This material has good thermal conductivity and is especially suitable for ultrasonic welding.


PS

Polystyrene. Light specific gravity, strong corrosion resistance to water and chemicals, stable and good insulation, especially suitable for injection and extrusion molding, commonly used in the manufacture of toys, decorations, washing equipment, pans, lenses, floating wheels, etc. . Due to its high elastic coefficient, it is suitable for ultrasonic welding.


Acrylics
Acrylic. Light weight, high hardness, resistance to heavy blows, not affected by acid, high optical clarity, and good coloring. It is often used in automobile taillights, dashboards, medals, faucet handles, etc. When used in ultrasonic welding, attention must be paid to the brightness problem.

PP
Polypropylene. High melting point, high crystallinity, good surface rigidity and scratch resistance. It has excellent moisture absorption, acid and alkali corrosion resistance, and solubility resistance. It has no resistance to aromatic hydrocarbons (such as benzene) solvents and chlorinated hydrocarbons (carbon tetrachloride) solvents. Typical applications: automotive industry (mainly using PP containing metal additives: mudguards, ventilation ducts, fans, etc.), appliances (dishwasher door gaskets, dryer ventilation ducts, washing machine frames and covers, refrigerator door gaskets, etc.) ), consumer goods (lawn and gardening equipment such as lawnmowers and sprinklers, etc.). Due to its low elastic coefficient, this material is easy to attenuate sound wave vibration and is difficult to weld.

Nylon/PA
nylon. The material is strong, wear-resistant, has a very low coefficient of friction, and is acid-resistant. It is often used as bearings, gears, tubes, kitchen utensils, brushes, etc. When using ultrasonic welding, due to the high melting point, the welding time is long, and it is easier to weld by drying before welding.


PVC
PVC. Good electrical properties, resistance to weak chemicals, good low temperature resistance, flame retardancy, commonly used in various synthetic leather hoses, material films, etc., the material is soft, easy to attenuate sound wave vibration, and the welding surface is easy to deteriorate.

P.C.
Polycarbonate. Heat resistance, excellent transparency, high tensile and bending strength, commonly used in lenses, heating tubes, filters, etc. Due to the high melting point, the welding time is long. Because the material is hygroscopic, it should be dried before welding.

PE
Polyethylene. Small specific gravity, high flexibility at low temperature and room temperature, waterproof, anti-corrosion, can be made into various colors, low-cost products, often used in pan pan, packaging film, soft water tube, baby bottle, cord, etc. The higher the density, the more suitable for ultrasonic welding.
