Spot welding is the most widely used welding method, which can be divided into single-side welding, parallel two-side welding and vertical two-side welding according to the transmission mode of oscillating energy. The oscillation system can be divided into longitudinal oscillation system, tortuous oscillation system and light tortuous oscillation system according to the oscillation direction of the upper acoustic pole. Low-power welders with power below 500W mostly choose longitudinal oscillations of light structure; Heavy-duty tortuous oscillation system is mostly used for high-power welders with kilowatts or more; The light tortuous oscillation system is suitable for small and medium power welder, it has the advantages of the two oscillation systems.
Ring welding
Ring welding is mainly used for closed ring welds formed in one time. During welding, the amplitude is symmetrically distributed relative to the axis of the sound pole, the amplitude in the axial region is zero, and the amplitude at the edge is the largest. Due to the large area of the primary weld and the large power input, multiple transducers are often required to drive the ring welding.
Seam welding
Similar to seam welding in resistance welding, ultrasonic seam welding is essentially a continuous weld formed by overlapping solder joints. The oscillation system of seam welder can be divided into longitudinal oscillation, zigzag oscillation and alternating oscillation according to its roller oscillation. The longitudinal oscillation mode is the most common. Seam welding can obtain sealed continuous welds, general welds are clamped between the upper and lower rollers, in special conditions can choose plate type lower sound pole.
Wire bonding
It is an extension of spot welding, the use of linear upper sound pole, in a welding cycle to form a long and narrow linear weld, the length of the sound pole is the length of the weld, now can reach 150mm, this method is most suitable for the sealing of metal foil.
Spot welding of double ultrasonic oscillation system
The frequencies of the upper and lower oscillating systems are 27kHz and 20kHz (or 15kHz) respectively. The oscillating directions of the upper and lower oscillating systems are perpendicular to each other, and the two oscillates directly during welding. When the power supply of the oscillating system is 3kW, the thickness of the weldable aluminum parts reaches 10mm, and the welding spot strength reaches the strength of the material itself. Although the welding mode of double ultrasonic oscillation system is basically the same as spot welding, the welding equipment is complex and requires high control precision of equipment.
