What are the differences between an ultrasonic metal welding machine and an ultrasonic plastic welding machine?
1. First of all, the work style is different.
Generally, the vibration direction of the welding head in ultrasonic plastic welding is perpendicular to the welding position, and the vibration direction of the welding head in ultrasonic metal welding is parallel to the welding position. In some special cases, plastic welding can also use parallel direction, such as thinner plastic parts.
2. Secondly, as ultrasonic is applied to welding metal, higher requirements are put forward for ultrasonic welding technology; Compared with ordinary plastic welding, the requirements of power capacity, power density, stability and automatic control are not the same level.
Now the domestic ultrasonic plastic welding generator is basically using self-excitation circuit, typical representative is: 8400, 8700 full bridge circuit and Taiwan machine commonly used half bridge circuit, the significant characteristic is to have a tuning inductor. If the existing mature technology used in plastic welding is directly transferred to metal welding, its congenital deficiency in technology will lead to the unstable use of products; Its only advantage is cheap, but for the high requirements of metal welding itself, this advantage is very pale.
1) High power capacity, stable ultrasonic generator:
The first requirement of stable ultrasonic generator is: automatic frequency tracking. Automatic frequency tracking can ensure that the transducer system can work in the resonant state, that is, to maximize the amplitude of the welding head. It is the basic requirement for metal welding to adopt automatic frequency tracking technology, change mould and work without frequency modulation. The equipment with adjustable inductor to adjust frequency manually can not meet the requirements.
Stable ultrasonic generator also requires: constant amplitude function and amplitude stepless adjustable. Constant amplitude function, it can ensure the consistency of welding, is the key to stable production; The amplitude of the stepless adjustable is to ensure the basic use of equipment, such as in the same equipment by adjusting the parameters of both copper and aluminum welding materials.
High power capacity: compared with plastic welding, metal welding requires high energy density and must have relatively high power capacity, such as 20khz machine, basically requires more than 3000W power capacity. Many companies for power capacity often false claims, then we only need to compare with the plastic welding machine they do, because the plastic welding machine is too high is no one believe.
2) High quality welding head: metal welding, as an industrial use, must require high life welding head.
3) High quality transducer: such as 20khz transducer, it must be able to bear a load of more than 3KW for a long time. Many transducer companies, with ordinary plastic welding transducer, the appearance is difficult to distinguish, this is irresponsible practice.
4) High quality control system: it has three basic control modes of welding energy, time and height, and a variety of quality control software can meet different needs.
